A problem while clean-installing macOS Sierra!

Hello.

I've been trying to perform a clean installation of macOS Sierra on my MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010), but every time I do that, I get a message (just during the last minute of the preparation for installation) saying, 'The installer payload failed signature check.' Would anyone please tell me what that means and how to resolve the problem? I'd appreciate it!

Incidentally, I previously clean-installed previous OS X versions on my MacBook Pro and all the installations went smoothly and without issues. macOS Sierra itself successfully clean-installed on my iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011)!

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6), (15-inch, Mid 2010)

Generally that means that something has become corrupted in the install image.

Try downloading the installer again.

The causes for this to date have been:

1) date/time incorrectly set - easy to fix.

2) bad RAM - only easy to fix if your memory chips are not soldered to the logic board.

How could this be the case when I used the same installer contained in the same USB flash memory stick that I'd used to install macOS Sierra on my iMac?!

To save download time, you may have been provided with a machine-specfic version of the installer from the iTunes store, or perhaps the MacBook Pro-related portion of the installer became corrupted on the copy to your USB stick.

Regardless, your best bet is to simply download Sierra from your MacBook Pro.
